Pantone unveils ‘happy’ color palette for New York Fashion Week FW23

Pantone, the global authority on colour, has stated that its Fall/Winter 2023 New York Fashion Week color trends report offers “a jubilant mix of cheerful colors and new, contemporary classics” guided by a free-spirited approach to colour.

The NYFW trend report reflects a “new reality,” Pantone added in a statement, and looks to the future with “exhilaration and anticipation.” The colors represent a desire to convey the joy of creativity and to encourage “exploration and experimentation”.

“The colors for NYFW Fall/Winter 2023 go beyond what we thought possible to catapult us into this new era where the boundaries of time, place and identity are no longer fixed,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

“NYFW’s colors are a friendly mix of cheerful tones and traditional shades recontextualized with a modern twist. Carrying vitality and enthusiasm, this season’s colors allow for limitless self-expression and encourage us to enjoy the autumn/winter season,” she added.
