Pafos FC got their first win in their first season in the Champions League against Villarreal. Chelsea surprisingly missed out on success in Azerbaijan, where they struggled to get a point against Qarabağ Ağdam.
Pafos defeated Spanish first division club Villarreal 1-0 (0-0).
