THY Euroleague teams Bayern Munich announced that Spanish coach Pablo Laso has been appointed to the position of head coach vacated by Andrea Trinchieri. In the statement made on the website of the German team, it was stated that a contract was signed with Laso until 2025. Speaking at the signing ceremony, 55-year-old Laso said: “It is a great honor and pleasure for me to be in Munich. I would certainly be happy to achieve similar success in the EuroLeague and the German League as in the past. But success is not just defined by winning the EuroLeague, it is for everyone. “I am 100 percent determined and ready to help Bayern succeed.”
Club President Herbert Hainer said: “We are all very happy that we were able to persuade Laso to join Bayern Basketball. He has tremendous experience, has had great success with Real Madrid and is one of the most famous coaches in the EuroLeague. “He’s waiting for a challenge and we’re very happy that he believes in our vision.”
Pablo Laso, who has coached Real Madrid for the last 10 seasons, won 2 EuroLeague championships and 6 Spanish Basketball League championships with the Spanish team.
