Ozcan Akyol jokkebrok? “He sucks Fidan Ekiz story!”

Is Özcan Akyol a jerk? Did he make up a somewhat vulgar letter about Fidan Ekiz himself? RTL Boulevard star Rob Goossens certainly thinks so. “This is a made-up note.”

Özcan Akyol is responsible for the letters section in the VARA guide. Such a column is intended to create a sense of community among readers and increase their involvement. Sometimes, however, there is also a questionable apple, who makes somewhat inappropriate comments about a TV presenter or presenter.

Goddess Fidan

This time there was a somewhat curious note about Fidan Ekiz. A mister ‘Machiel’ speaks in a slightly too obsessive way about the presenter of Op1. He thinks that ‘such a ravishing, intelligent, empathetic and funny woman’ should be praised. “As a boomer of only 1 meter 68, I don’t stand a chance.”

According to this gentleman, other men have to work to woo Fidan. “Thousands of other men would have to flirt like hell for this Goddess, damn it.”

Dirty man

This gentleman has been put in his place by Özcan and called a ‘dirty little man’, but who is he actually talking to here? To Mr. Machiel or to himself?

Jan Dijkgraaf, columnist and biographer of the Meilandjes, is sceptical. He tweets: “Invented letters to the editor were already around when Panorama still had a circulation of 400,000 copies.”

Rob critical

Rob Goossens, the media connoisseur of RTL Boulevard, thinks that Özcan wrote the note about Fidan himself. But: “Compared to making up a raw life story to build an entire career in literature and TV, such a made-up note is of course not too bad.”

Jan then: “Whoa, that’s more or less true. Only with another main character, from the football team of the talent.”

World of Thought

Other people also react suspiciously to Jan’s tweet. For example, one Don says: “The only thing he reveals now is his own world of thought. Not that of the ‘letter writer’.”

And Marlboro Man: “What a jellyfish that Eus!”
