Oxfam: Human suffering greater than ever after seven years of civil war in Yemen

Yemen, in the Arabian Peninsula, has been suffering from a civil war for seven years. Poverty and devastation are still increasing, warns NGO Oxfam, the suffering of the population is greater than ever. For example, the number of deaths among the civilian population has risen sharply in recent months. Hunger is also on the rise: by the end of this year, 19 million Yemenis, or two-thirds of the population, are expected to be starving, 8 million more than at the start of the conflict. Oxfam is complaining that the aid program for the country is underfunded.
