Aldi Nord is going into the next round with its fashion collection and this time not only focusing on the DNA of the discount supermarket but also its own brands,
Pieces such as long sleeves, hoodies and T-shirts as well as accessories such as (peaked) hats were designed by various artists, the Essen-based company announced. Inspiration was provided by products from Aldi’s own brands such as Rio D’oro, Tandil, River and Nusskati. The collection was supplemented with products such as flip flops and socks as Aldi merchandise, as was the case with previous collections.
A total of nine artists from the Aldi Nord area were involved in the project and were inspired by their personal stories with the products. For his art using computer-generated image effects, Hamburger Max Salzborn used the candy Milk Mice, one of which he transformed into a car because he associated it with previous car trips on vacation. But other products such as whipped cream, chips, detergent or the blue and white Aldi bag are also advertised on the products.
The clothing items are available from today, but not in stores but only through two competitions. Customers can either upload their Aldi receipt to the website when purchasing their own brands or use a filter from the supermarket on the social media platform Snapchat to take part.
