The Italian clothing supplier OVS SpA was able to significantly increase its sales in the third quarter of the 2024/25 financial year. The parent company of retail chains such as OVS and Upim as well as brands such as Stefanel announced on Monday that there had also been significant progress in earnings.
In the three months before October 31, group sales amounted to 414.7 million euros, which corresponded to growth of 12.8 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The retailer explained that “excellent results for all Group brands and in all product categories” contributed to the significant increase. The group benefited from strong frequencies due to favorable weather conditions.
Thanks to a significantly improved margin, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) adjusted for special effects rose by 31.7 percent to 46.2 million euros. The adjusted profit before taxes even increased by 70.9 percent to 24.1 million euros.
In the first nine months of the current financial year, group sales reached almost 1.18 billion euros. This exceeded the corresponding previous year’s level by 6.7 percent. Adjusted EBITDA grew by 11.3 percent to 135.2 million euros.
