‘Overwhelmed and dismayed’: Meghan and Harry react to their parody in a ‘South Park’ episode

Meghan Markle has reacted to the “South Park” episode in which she and her husband Prince Harry are parodied. Markle be loud “The Spectator“Overwhelmed and dismayed”. It features the “Prince and Princess of Canada” who, due to their portrayal, are obviously based on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The episode, which aired February 15 in the US, refers to Markle as an “Instagram-loving slutty wife” while the two are on a talk show celebrating their “Privacy World Tour” and are from Canada want to emigrate. This is a reference to the 2021 Oprah interview and subsequent media appearances and statements by the couple, who moved to the United States from the UK in 2020.

Apparently Princess Harry & Meghan are taking legal action to prevent this Canadian interview episode from airing.

Markle is annoyed by “South Park” and the celebrity couple is considering taking legal action. So said Neil Sean, reporter for “NBC News” and royals expert, on “Fox News”: “According to sources close to the ex-royals, like so many things with Meghan and Harry, this could result in legal consequences”. And further: “Your legal team is re-watching the episode and seeing what’s wrong with it.”

British reporter and author Piers Morgan, however, endorsed the episode: “The ‘South Park’ portrayal of Meghan and Harry is brilliant… I suppose that’s how most Americans see them.”

The series’ co-creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, have yet to comment. There is always controversy about the black and humorous series. The consequence is now also available in German.
