The Valorant professionals from Ovation eSports have won the offseason tournament “DACH: Arcade”. In the final, the team from the Swiss e-sports organization defeated Mouz 3-0.
It’s a first for Ovation: For the first time, the Valorant team is at the top of a competition in the highest tournament series in German-speaking countries. The reactions of the Ovation professionals after the victory were correspondingly exuberant.
“Champions,” said a post on X, formerly Twitter, by Ilyas “Matrixx” Amagow. The Austrian professional from Ovation was proud of his team and their shared journey: “After two years of hard work, we finally have a title in our pockets.”
The e-athlete has been wearing the Ovation jersey since January 2022. A time in which the team was on the podium of the “DACH: Evolution” three times. After a second and two third places, the coronation came with victory at the “DACH: Arcade”. It is a success for which the Valorant professionals had to do more than just stretch. After a defeat in the Upper Bracket semifinals, the team played its way through the Lower Bracket to the Grand Final and there to the title.
