Citizens have been able to consult information about soil quality for a few years now via the government site degrotegrondquestion.be. So far, 240,000 citizens have used it. More details are available on the new site about the substances that are in the soil in certain places. This makes it possible to find out whether pollution ever took place, whether an investigation was conducted or whether OVAM still needs to remediate the area.
