Housing association Lefier is having 25 social rental homes built in Klazienaveen. The houses will be located on the east side of the village, on Stellingstraat Noordzijde and Molenwijk Westzijde. The 25 houses from the 1950s that are now there will be removed.
According to Lefier, the rental properties that are being demolished are almost all empty. The tenants have now found alternative accommodation.
The construction project is expected to begin in the fall. If everything goes according to plan, the new homes will be completed in the course of next year.
The houses do not have a gas connection, but are heated by solar panels. “For the residents, this means a low energy bill and a lot of living comfort,” writes Lefier.
The amount of the rental price will be determined at a later time.
