“More than 50,000 Ukrainian refugees have fled their country in less than 48 hours – mainly to Poland and Moldova – and many more are on their way to the borders,” Filippo Grandi, head of the UN Refugee Agency, reported on Twitter. He thanks the governments and citizens of the countries that keep their borders open and receive refugees.
After a seven-hour drive, Robin and Stijn are not even halfway there. Traffic is stuck everywhere. Thousands of people stand in traffic jams and queue at gas stations.
