Prensa Ibérica has been publishing newspapers for 45 years. Each one of them is different and has its own story. From the Vigo Lighthouse which celebrates its first 170 years until EL PERIÓDICO DE ESPAÑA which next month will be 2. The year 1978 nWe start you in this sector in the Canary Islands. That same year, EL PERIÓDICO was founded in Catalonia, header that has been part of our group for four years. We share, therefore, the year of founding: the historic moment of approval of the Constitution.
Our vocation as editors, that of Arantza and mine, and now also that of our children, is based on the idea that Newspapers make sense when they are useful to society: providing ideas, debate and wealth. And where we edit them, what we want is for them to have the necessary personality to be able to connect with readers, but also with advertisers and institutions. Our vocation is JOURNALISM with capital letters, and we understand it as a way of serving society. Currently we do this through 26 daily publications, but also with more than 60 hyperlocal newspapers, which we call Crónicas, and with specialized magazines, on paper and now, above all, on digital channels. We always seek the same thing: to generate added value for readers by contributing to the economic, political and social development of the country.
