Hardly anywhere in Flanders are houses as expensive as in Ghent. That is why an official referendum on affordable housing will be held there on Sunday. The Too Duur action group presents two statements to the people of Ghent. The city must create a bank of public lands so that 40 percent social housing can be created, and municipal real estate must not be privatized.
