Even a queen announced her farewell. “But in the first opinion of the new year, we would especially like to wish you, our reader, all the best for 2024,” writes political journalist Astrid Roelandt. “To politicians at the bottom of the electoral lists: enough votes to surprise later. To politicians at the top of the electoral lists : respect for one’s own laws, even when the urge to explode is great or the bladder is full.”
