FOOTBALL – It is early March and so the fields, except for the artificial grass pitches, are anything but billiard cloths. The Drenthe amateur football players also experienced this this weekend. Good football was hardly possible, but luckily there was still plenty to enjoy along the fields in our province. Not least because of the people along the line: the assistant referees.
They played a leading role this weekend. Sometimes positively and sometimes negatively, but mainly in the interest of their own club.
In episode 20 of Onze Club images of the city derby of Assen between Achilles 1894 and LTC in the 2nd class J of Saturday football with, among other things, a wonderful lob from Romano Djababoe. Furthermore, HZVV received leader SV Urk in the main class B and BSVV surprisingly picked up a point from high flyer ZZVV in the 3rd class D on Saturday. From Sunday football we chose the topper in the 1st class F between VKW and WVV and the squatter in the 5th class D: HHCombi – vv Buinerveen. Both teams are still undefeated.
