Belgrade (AP) – Tennis professional Oscar Otte missed the semi-finals at the ATP tournament in Belgrade.
The 28-year-old from Cologne lost in the round of the top eight to the favored Italian Fabio Fognini after 1:44 hours 5:7, 4:6. Otte was already leading 5:2 in the first round and served to win the set when the score was 5:3, but lost a total of seven games in a row.
Otte was the only German participant in the clay court tournament, which was endowed with 597,900 euros. The world number one Novak Djokovic from Serbia meets Karen Khachanov from Russia as the top seeded player in the semifinals.
