Ostend warns of scorching hot wharf plates on the beach

The signs come after reports from residents. The metal plates become very hot with this heat and are also dangerous for playing children. The site plates will disappear by the end of the month, because the new vantage point must also be ready by then.

The construction of the wooden jetty was delayed due to the strong winds of the past few months. The construction is 41 meters long and is a resting point for cyclists and walkers. There will be benches and a picnic area.

The cost is almost 650,000 euros. The city can count on almost 300,000 euros in subsidy from Eurocyclo and the province.
