Ostend U18 basketball team down against Spanish Murcia
The Youth Champions League is a brand new five-day competition featuring the U18 teams of ten Champions League participants from eight different countries. The ten participating teams are divided into two groups of five. The top two of each group qualify for the semi-finals, which will be played on Friday. The final is scheduled for Saturday.
Second defeat
For the Ostend basketball team, it is already their second defeat in three group matches. On Tuesday it lost its first match against the Bosnian Igokea 70-89, but defeated the Czech Nymburk 78-68 that same day.
Filou Oostende’s youngsters are currently second in group A with four points from three games. They have played two games more than their last opponent in the group stage, Israel’s Hapoel Jerusalem, and one more than Igokea and Nymburk.
