Ostend port provides more power ashore for fishing vessels

With such a shore power box, ships can switch off their diesel engines after mooring, and take electricity from the start. This should ensure less CO2 emissions in the port, and it is also cheaper for the fishermen, especially with the current fuel prices.

The new shore power cabinets will be ready by the summer. Earlier there was already a parking lot with 56 electric charging stations, solar panels and a wind turbine.
