Ostend neighborhood protests against padel plans

A part of the sports park De Schorre in the vicinity would become the location for a new padel complex. A private entrepreneur wants to install infrastructure for popular sport on an area of ​​two football fields.

According to local residents, nine padel fields and a parking lot are looming close to their gardens. They point out that their rest and therefore quality of life will be at the expense of this.

“As long as no permit application has been submitted, we as the city council cannot respond,” concludes Mayor Bart Tommelein.
