Ostend family (parents and children) seriously injured in accident in South Africa

Mama Aïssa Fryns tells her story on her Facebook page. The accident dates back to July 31. The accident happened near the holiday home where the family would be staying. They were hit in the dark. The woman has a fractured knee, among other things. Her husband, Pieter Hens, who works at the Ostend tourism department, has several fractures to the left side of his body. Their children are (even) worse. The boy had internal bleeding and has already had two operations. The girl has a broken back.

The couple receives a lot of messages of support, and also let them know that they are good for them. They will probably only be able to return to Ostend in a few weeks, where their entire house will also have to be adapted to the new difficult situation.
