Ostend airport awaits intense Monday
From six o’clock tomorrow morning, a total of thirteen flights will depart from Ostend, each carrying almost 200 passengers. Airline TUI makes every effort to assist its travelers. The company takes a bus from the smaller airports in our country such as Ostend to Brussels. This is for travelers who would normally land in Brussels, but whose landing is unexpectedly rescheduled. This way, those customers can still get to their parked car in Zaventem.
Employees recalled
For those who depart on a trip and cannot independently reach a regional airport, the company also organizes limited bus transport from Brussels. TUI is also recalling staff from their leave and is deploying an additional fifteen employees. More than 300 flights, or about 70 percent of the planned number, will not take place at Brussels airport. That number could also rise. The unions are on strike for more purchasing power and wages.
