A 45-year-old Ossenaar was injured on the Molenweg in Oss after he collided with a police car with a scooter. The man ended up under the vehicle and broke a leg, he was transported to the hospital and was arrested there.
Officers had already wanted the man to stop earlier in the evening because he was driving at high speed and ignoring stop signs. When they saw him driving again moments later, they tried to stop him again. The man from Oss fell and partly ended up under the vehicle of the officers.
A blood test must determine whether the man was under the influence of alcohol. The scooter he was riding is registered as stolen, according to the police. The traffic accident analysts of the Limburg unit will investigate the exact cause of the accident.
