Chimy Ávila and Juan Cruz, two of the players from the Club Atlético Osasuna squad, have visited the cultivation fields of the team’s official sponsor, Verleal. In company of Angel Castillejoagronomic director of the brand and a group of farmers, both players have experienced first-hand the harvesting of the field products that give life to Verleal, thus becoming farmers for a day.
In the middle of the pepper harvest season, the players have had the opportunity to harvest this vegetable, which is very common in the Ribera Navarra area and discover first-hand the process that Verleal’s raw material undergoes from the moment of collection until it reaches the freezer.
A fun day, in which both players have shown their skills in the field of cultivation between laughs. For Chimy Ávila, getting into the skin of the farmers has been a totally new experience, the striker has listened carefully to Ángel Castillejo’s explanations and the advice of his teammate Juan Cruz.
For the rojillo defender, this was not the first time on the farm. Players have commented that “Being part of this action and knowing first-hand the quality of Verleal’s raw material has been quite an experience to be even more aware of the freshness of the brand’s vegetables”.
