Os Lusitanos has won the first prize of the season. The Amsterdam futsal players defeated FC Marlène 4-1 after extra time, after it was 1-1 after regular playing time.
Both teams were evenly matched in the first half and had plenty of chances. Thanks to the goalkeepers, both teams went to rest with a 0-0 score. It was Marlène who took the lead immediately after 35 seconds.
However, the Amsterdam futsal players did not give up and quickly scored the 1-1. In extra time, Lusitanos scored three goals in an identical manner. Marlène replaced the goalkeeper for a field player, allowing the Amsterdam women to score from a distance in the empty goal.
The women’s futsal competition starts next weekend.
