Well -known Oranjefan Johan Vlemmix from Hoeven got a big disappointment during Prinsjesdag. Just before the balcony scene he went down hard. He fell on his knee, which was recently broken once, and ended up in the middle of the horse poop. Because of this he missed the famous scene.
Oranjefans all want to be as close as possible to the balcony of Noordeinde Palace when the royal family shows itself there. Until that moment there are still crush barriers to stop people, but as soon as the police remove them, the public runs massively.
Vlemmix also used the sprint, but slid and fell hard. Bystanders concerned about him, although someone first walked over his leg.

Second year in a row
Last year Vlemmix Prinsjesdag also had to let himself be passed by an accident. He then converted a mobility scooter into a golden carriage. When he wanted to load it the night before Prinsjesdag in a large bus, the carriage slid off the elevator and his fingers came between the wheels. His fingers were so thick and painful that the Oranjefan could no longer drive a car.
