Lionesses show resilience again and book hard-won victory
LEIGH – The Orange Lionesses have turned the negative sentiment of recent days a bit with a difficult victory over Portugal. After the encouraging 1-1 against Sweden, Mark Parsons’ team took blow after blow, but the players again showed that they have a good portion of resilience. In front of more than a thousand fans from the Netherlands, a victory was dragged out of the fire in Leigh. After a 2-0 lead, they still won 3-2.
