Orange attracts fewer viewers with European Championship match against Switzerland

More than 1.6 million viewers watched the victory of the Orange Lionesses over Switzerland on Sunday. This is evident from figures from the Stichting KijkOnderzoek (SKO). The number of viewers was therefore lower than in previous European Championship matches against Portugal and Sweden. Almost 2 million people watched this.

Thanks to the win over Switzerland, the Dutch football players have qualified for the quarterfinals. This match is against France and will be played on Saturday. The best viewed program of the evening was the NOS Journaal from 8 p.m. Nearly 2.5 million people watched this on Sunday evening.

Incidentally, they were the only two programs that managed to attract more than a million viewers on Sunday. Half of the top 10 consisted of programs around sporting events, such as the European Championship for women and the Tour de France.
