**** (Four stars)

There are several movies in oppenheimerand not all are equally worthwhile, although the enormous design carried out by Christopher Nolan (a filmmaker who sometimes rests only on that, on being a designer) makes it possible to think that this is one of his best films, up to the standards of “Dunkirk” and “The Dark Knight”still today the most salient of his
career.

The first is the story of a man who does the right thing although that is terrifying, Robert Oppenheimer himself. The second, the idea that something terrifying enters the human experience: his own capacity for annihilation. The third, that of the human tension of an inventor and those who finance it. The room, that backdrop of the global threat which represented both Hitler and Stalin.

This film has already been “made” several times (the beautiful “Shadow Makers”of Roland Joffewith Paul Newman and dwight schultzfor example) but Nolan weaves it in with one last film that tries to answer the question of why the beauty of design, of nature itself (although its manifestation is terrifying). The work of cillian murphy and the visual bombast on the part of Nolan try, from the pure form, to answer such a question. Nothing bad.
