Example: a hormone-containing IUD causes the lining of the uterus to become thinner. “Madam, instead of deep-pile carpet every month, there will be a laminate floor in there,” I explain. I recently received an email from a patient. It was time for her spiral change. I read: “Hey Doc, when can I come get a new floor from you again?”
