I read the back cover of A story from the city of Damsko by Hassan Bahara. “Kader Zeroual is seventeen and is in the fourth year of HAVO of the HVZ. He has been having problems for several months: he misses classes at school, hangs out with his friends smoking weed, gets into an argument with his chef in the supermarket and regularly has words with his girlfriend Louazna.” Quinten nods: “That sounds like a nice book, sir, I’ll take it.”
