Monday morning. A full sprinter slowly comes to a stop at Hoofddorp station. “Between Hoofddorp and Leiden-Central, no more trains run due to a defective train,” it sounds. Looks of disappointment and panic. A man shouts: “And then we are also stuck at Hoofddorp, the very-very-sad place in all of the Netherlands.” Another passenger responds: “Sir, I was born and raised here.” It took a few more long minutes before we can get off the train.
