Opinion | Age – NRC

Recently I had a flat tire on the highway. Coincidentally, I came to a stop under a portal with matrix signs. As an over-70s I decided not to change the tire myself, but to call the roadside assistance. The road guard arrived within half an hour, he looked at me from his car and started calling. Moments later, the number 70 appeared above the left lane and a red cross on the right lane. When asked, he said: “Nowadays we immediately inform the other road users about the suspected age of the perpetrator.”
