A few summers ago on a walking holiday in the Scottish Highlands. Behind me along the trail, two gleaming Land Rovers approach. I wait on the verge so that the cars, which drive at a walking pace, can pass. The front one is driven by a gray lady with big glasses on, both hands firmly on the steering wheel. I greet politely and Queen Elizabeth returns a gracious nod.
