Op1 disappears from the air, making way for Khalid & Sophie

The talk show Op1 disappears from the air to make way for Khalid & Sophie. They disappear from the evening because Eva Jinek is going to take the seven o’clock slot. The AD just reported this.

Quite a game of musical chairs at the public broadcaster: the AD reported it a while ago, but now the newspaper reported that the arrival of Eva Jinek on the eve of NPO 1 is final. She will take over from Khalid & Sophie from September next year and will be seen with her talk show from Monday to Thursday.

Op1 of the tube

However, Khalid & Sophie do not disappear from the TV, but to the late evening, according to the newspaper. And that means the end of Op1. “With the dissolution of Op1, Frans Klein’s brainchild also disappears. Four broadcasters participated in the prestigious project: the EO, Omroep MAX, WNL and BNNVARA.”

BNNVARA withdrew from Op1 in the summer due to an internal conflict and is now taking the ultimate revenge: they are kicking the program off the air completely and regaining the position with the talk show duo Khalid Kasem and Sophie Hilbrand.

Four days Eve

It is also striking that Eva will be making a talk show not five, but four days a week. She will find that easier to combine with her family life. “Eva will be responsible for four days, from Monday to Thursday,” her broadcaster AvroTros confirms when asked.

It is not yet known who will fill in the Friday broadcast, according to the AD.
