‘Ons Tehuis’ is expanding: also for babies from difficult home situations

They have to replace two old buildings, which are no longer in use. The demolition of this will start after the construction holiday. There will be room for nearly 50 children.

And striking: also for babies and toddlers from 0 to 6 years. That is unique in the region.

“We felt that in our region, the Westhoek, there was a great need for the care of young children because there are few initiatives there and we have a lot of registrations of babies, very young children, toddlers, preschoolers. Then we definitely have a living group set up separately for these children in such a way that we can fully meet the basic needs of very young children,” says Filip De Baets, director of Ons Tehuis.
