Only 333 candidate doctors and dentists pass the entrance exam in Wallonia and Brussels | Inland

The candidates were asked about eight topics, divided into two categories: in addition to chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics, they were also presented with questions related to communication and the critical analysis of information. To pass the entrance examination, candidates must achieve an average of 10/20 in each of the two components and a minimum of 8/20 in each subject.

“The science part of the exam is on average less successful than the part related to communication and the critical analysis of information. This is reflected in the particularly low pass rate for physics: only 19 percent of the candidates have at least 8/20 for that subject,” says Laurent Despy of Ares. In comparison: 96 percent passed the subject of communication.

A second entrance exam will take place on Saturday 27 August. Candidates can register for that exam from tomorrow until August 5.

It is the last time that the entrance examination will be organized in this form. Next year, the entrance examination will be a competitive examination: passing the entrance examination will no longer be sufficient to be admitted to the study. Only the favorably ranked candidates will be able to register for the program at the university of their choice.
