Onion dip is perfect to snack on with chips, crackers, crispy baguette pieces, nachos or pita chips, but it’s also great for other things. Spoon the onion dip between a burger, on a fried chicken fillet, as a salad dressing or as a side dish for fish.

The rich and rich taste of caramelized onions enlivens every meal.

It works well in the oven too

Many raise their hands when they have to go caramelize onions. It must be admitted: caramelizing onions creates a mess and a lump of butter is consumed.

There is a solution to this problem as well. You can also prepare this golden brown delicacy in the oven. Without the crust and less fat, but the same, great taste.

First, slice the onion into thin rings. Grease a baking dish with a lid with olive oil and put the onions in the dish. Add olive oil, honey and water to the onions. Mix the ingredients by hand.

Cook the onions in the oven at 175 degrees under the lid for about three hours, until the onions have softened, turned golden brown and deliciously caramelized.
