“Flemish fiction is increasingly appealing to an international audience,” says Lotte Vermeir, network manager of One. “The first season of ‘Under Fire’ was already very well watched by One. So I’m very proud that the series is now also picked up by Netflix, so that this exciting piece of craftsmanship can be seen worldwide. Hopefully this will fuel the fire for even more Flemish fiction worldwide.”
‘Under Fire’ is the first fiction series from production house Geronimo. “It has become an ambitious series, each carried by Belgian top actors and a technical team full of passion and craftsmanship”, say Emanuel Vanderjeugd and Jasper Moeyaert. “Flemish fiction is reaching high peaks worldwide and we are proud to be part of that with Geronimo.” A second season of ‘Under Fire’ is currently being worked on. Louis Talpe, Lien De Graeve, Sam Louwyck, Alessia Sartor, Aimé Claeys, Dirk Van Dijck, Ann Tuts and Wouter Bruneel will be joined by Jennifer Heylen, Guga Baúl and Gust Mestdach.
