Two other soldiers were also injured in the shooting. Their condition is unchanged; they are knowledgeable and approachable.
Practice village
There is a practice village near Indianapolis. Dutch commandos go there more often to train. They then stay in this hotel. Last night’s incident happened in the military’s free time.
According to sources, an incident took place at the hotel prior to the shooting, in which the three soldiers were involved. They decided to de-escalate by running away, after which the suspect allegedly fetched a weapon and shot the soldiers outside the hotel.
According to American media, including WISHTV, the shooting took place at around 3:30 a.m. (local time) at the Hampton Inn hotel.
