One more hour of undeclared work!

By Paul Gorgas

The Hertha professionals could certainly use this break!

On Friday, the field players of the Berliners were given a free morning with a late breakfast – which was necessary after the exhausting program of the first units in the training camp in England.

Because the days in St. George’s Park have been one thing above all – long!

Coach Sandro Schwarz (43) and his team scheduled afternoon training on Wednesday and Thursday at 5 p.m., one hour later than before.

Hertha’s undeclared work is now an hour longer – but there is a correspondingly longer break in between.

When asked by BZ, Schwarz explained: “If you’re together for twelve days in the training camp, it should never degenerate into stress. You only have the training sessions, theory sessions and individual talks. In addition, we have the opportunity to regenerate very well.”

And that goes down well: according to reports, there is a good mood in the team, all the professionals, including the candidates for a departure, are going along with it. As a young but experienced coach, Schwarz’s clear speech is well received by the players in the dressing room – they follow him even when their legs are on fire.

Schwarz: “The boys go into every training session with maximum willingness, we need that too.”

How much black football the team has already internalized will be shown today: In three friendlies it is against fifth division Halifax, fourth division Salford and third division Derby.
