A driver was killed in a serious traffic accident on the A9 near Beelitz (Potsdam-Mittelmark) on Tuesday afternoon.
This was announced by the police situation center in Potsdam. A small van crashed into a truck.
The driver of the van was fatally injured. Rescue workers tried to resuscitate him, but were unsuccessful.
The motorway was temporarily closed after the accident and traffic was diverted via the Beelitz junction.
