A shooting took place in a shopping center in Malmö in Sweden around 5 p.m. Friday. The police immediately rushed to the spot. Several officers in bulletproof vests immediately entered the building, looking for the gunman who is said to have been hiding in the building.
The place where the shooting happened was cordoned off and the shopping center was also evacuated. Train and bus traffic was also stopped. According to TV4 Nyheterna, people should have heard about 20 shots. People who didn’t get out right away had to hide in shops.
In an initial statement, local authorities said a man and woman had been injured in the shooting. The man has since died of his injuries, police said Friday evening. The woman suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized. A suspect could be arrested, it would be a boy of 15 years.
