OnDance 2023, appointment with Roberto Bolle in Milan

THE numbers speak: 24 million clicks on the site ondance.it7,500 participants in the various events, 1,607 dancers for the Ballo in Bianco alone, the largest barre class ever conceived (video went viral). But OnDance 2023 (Milan, 7-10 September) is already set to break the records of the last editionwith 2,300 dancers registered for the key event in Piazza Duomo, which for the first
time will be sent live on Rai 1, on 10 September.

The OnDance 2023 program

But not only classic, as in the philosophy of the event… The days will start with yoga, pilates and stretching to continue with open classes of all kinds: Irish dance, flamenco, tap, charleston, vogueing, afro, dance hall and “heels dance” (on stiletto heels). Completely free and open to aspiring dancers aged 12 to 99. Not for everyone, however, the class with Martina Arduino, which will be followed by a challenge: who will be able to balance more on their toes?

Reservation is mandatorybut don’t worry if you can’t sign up in time, or if you can’t reach Milan: everything will be broadcast streaming on social channels Instagram, Facebook and OnDance YouTube to allow the entire community to participate! Do not miss the evenings under the stars to the rhythm of tango, swing and Latin American, preceded by a trial lesson.

Partner of the event for three years, the Pastificio Rana organizes the “Gioiaverde Class”: four special lessons dedicated to the combination of well-being and conviviality.

Not just dance

The program includes also two talks, on “The beauty of balance” (the first Scala dancers Virna Toppi, Martina Arduino and Antonella Albano will converse with the nutritionist Evelina Flachi) and on “Dance and Media” (with, among others, Lorella Cuccarini, Oriella Dorella, Alessandra Celentano). Two films related to the world of dance that Bolle considers particularly significant will also be screened: West Side Story And Two lives, one breakthrough.

For those who are already on the road to professionalism, the precious workshops are back: 32 selected students, who will compete with the interpretation of three choreographies by Simone Valastro (the creator of I rememberat La Scala next season), Brian Bullard and Matteo Gavazzi, to then perform at the Talent OnDance.

Here is the talent show, new this year: enthusiasts of all styles (including hip hop, break dance, acrobatics, musicals) yes will compete on 10 September at 6pm in Piazza Duomo. With the participation of the winner of the latest edition of Amici, Mattia Zenzola.
