On this map you can see where you can swim in nature in and around Zoetermeer this summer

With summer temperatures we only want one thing: swimming! Cool off in the water and dry on your towel in the sun. But where can you safely swim without the presence of blue-green algae? The map below shows the correct update every day.

Of course we have a lovely beach in Zoetermeer in the recreation area Noord Aa. But unfortunately blue-green algae crops up there regularly. Not healthy and not pleasant to swim in. But where do you go in warm weather? on the map of swimmingwater.nl you can see this summer how the swimming quality is in Zoetermeer and other places.

To the Noord Aa or to another beach?

Inspectors regularly check the quality of Dutch natural water at more than 900 swimming locations between 1 May and 1 October. The presence of bacteria such as intestinal enterococci (IE) and E. Coli and cyanobacteria are examined. They also check the general safety at the swimming location. Warnings or swim advice are automatically added to the map. This way you can see in one place whether you can enjoy going to the Noord Aa or better choose another beach.
