on display from 29 January 2022 I iODonna

No.not a single exhibition, but many at the same time in Paris, to tell the story of world of Yves Saint Laurent, his creations, his maison but above all his indissoluble link with the world of art. From 29 January to 15 May 2022 in Paris.

The exhibition “Yves Saint Laurent Aux Musées”

“Fashion is not an art but to make clothes you have to be artists“. He said it and believed it Yves Saint Laurent, the stylist who more than any other has made this contamination his own style sign. Passionate collector, but above all a great connoisseur of contemporary and historical figurative arts, so much so that he uses them as a source of inspiration for his most iconic collections. From January 29 to May 15, 2022, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the debut show of his maison, a special exhibition, Yves Saint Laurent Aux Musées, retraces this union.

A multiple event

An exceptional heritage told in an equally unique way, the exhibition will be hosted simultaneously by six Parisian museums, among the most famous in the world. The exhibition dedicated to Saint Laurent will in fact be located between: the Center Pompidou, the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, the Musée du Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, the Musée National Picasso and the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris. A tour de france not to be missed.

A collection that runs parallel to the history of fashion and the history of art: from the famous 1965 sheath dress to Piet Mondrian and the painting that inspired him “Composition en rouge, bleu et blanc II”, the 1979 evening dress that recalls the work of Pablo Picasso, but also paintings, photographs and jewels collected throughout his life by the famous French designer.
