OM Rotterdam is prosecuting a police officer for assaulting his partner
The Public Prosecution Service will prosecute a 47-year-old police officer for domestic violence. The agent would have assaulted his partner on December 25 outside of duty, according to the Public Prosecution Service. The couple has since split up.
The Security, Integrity and Complaints office of the Rotterdam police has investigated the case under the supervision of the Public Prosecution Service. Initially, the case may be settled by the judiciary itself. After contact with the victim lawyer and consultation with experts in the field of domestic violence, the Public Prosecution Service decided to submit the case to the criminal court.
It is not yet known when the judge will hear the case.
