A 19-year-old Alkmaarder who is suspected of having been involved in the robbery of the Alkmaar branch of Cameraland on March 16 last year, must go to jail for 210 days if it is up to the Public Prosecution Service (OM). Of these, 106 days are conditional. The Public Prosecution Service also demands 120 hours of community service. Media partner Alkmaar Central reports this.
The robbery at the Van Ostadelaan on March 16, 2022 was very violent. Two robbers slip into the shop in the early morning hours behind the manager, who at that moment opens the doors to let the cleaners in.
Punched in the face
The manager is tied up and a cleaner is punched in the face. A robber then tries to pull the cleaner into the shop, which is unsuccessful. The cleaner flees to Albert Heijn, from where the police are called. After two to three minutes, the robbers fled, with the telephone and the key of the manager.
Although the 19-year-old suspect denies, the OM is sure of her case, Alkmaar Central reports. The court will rule next week.
