OM demands life imprisonment against suspects for the murder of Peter R. de Vries: ‘Right to freedom lost’ Inland

Peter R. de Vries was the third person in the direct circle around the key witness in the mega-liquidation process Marengo who was murdered. This happened earlier with his brother and with his lawyer Derk Wiersum. According to the Public Prosecution Service, “a crucial moment has now come when it is necessary “to give a crystal-clear signal.” Even the longest prison terms do not appear to deter people from committing contract killings, attacks on the rule of law and shocking society. “For the Public Prosecution Service it is: this far and no further.”

The demands were the culmination of the first day in the murder process in which blood-curdling images and messages passed in review. Minute by minute, the movements of Kamil E. and Delano G. were visualized from the moment they arrived in Amsterdam on 6 July in a stolen Renault Kadjar.

Kamil E. parked the car in a disabled spot on the Prinsengracht, and walked with Delano G. to the Lange Leidsedwarsstraat, where the rear exit of the RTL Boulevard studio is. After the broadcast, Peter R. de Vries would leave the building through that door and walk to the parking garage. Kamil E. knew that, because he did preliminary reconnaissance on several occasions in the weeks before. That too was all captured by cameras in the busy center of Amsterdam.

While Delano G. waited on the steps of a house, Kamil E. drove around the neighborhood. Those present in the room held their breath while showing the images of Peter R. de Vries, who shortly after the broadcast, with springy steps and flapping jacket tails of his light suit, set out for the parking garage. Towards his death. A dark figure suddenly appears behind his back. Five shots go off, and the crime reporter falls, while the dark figure runs away.

Kamil E. and Delano G. knew exactly who to contact and were assured by their unknown client that the attack should not fail. On a Google Pixel phone that was found in the Renault Kadjar after their arrest, chats were found that left nothing to be desired in terms of clarity.

The anonymous client NN4229 appt at 18.37: “Tell that person, he is there.” Two photos are sent of Peter R. de Vries, who is casually leaning against the desk of Boulevard. “That’s what he looks like. Tell that Pole, he has to show you everything.”

NN4229: “Do your job well. Please don’t screw up. Empty.”

The answer: “Bro, I’m going to shoot that kk thing completely empty. I leave him as a slut. I love this.”

NN4229: “Slam his head.” The answer: “Jaman, KKK hard.” The client insists on committing the attack together. “Then it will certainly work.” But Delano G. wants to do it alone, he writes back. “I’m doing it solo, bro. I finish this.”

Shortly after the attack, NN4229 receives a euphoric message: “Right through that KK’s head. He is dead. KK dead. Bro, that bullet went right through his head. All squirted. KK beautiful. That blood. Everyone screaming.”

The children of Peter R. de Vries, his ex-wife Jacqueline and his fiancée Tahmina Akefi all heard it with a heavy heart. Son Royce and daughter Kelly asked the suspects to turn around during their right to speak and look them in the eye. Kelly: “Like you, Delano, didn’t dare look at my father by attacking him from behind.”

Royce: “I wanted to convey my feelings to them. To express my sadness and anger. And maybe strike a chord with them. But I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s completely pointless. The chat messages have made that clear. This shows that these suspects are not prone to remorse or our grief, but they have an unparalleled disrespect for life. That my words will have no effect.”

According to Kelly de Vries, the murder of her father has an impact on more people than just her family. Such as the relatives of child murders who no longer have any hope of a solution due to the disappearance of Peter R. de Vries.

The children of the two suspects also have to grow up without their father, Kelly said. “But I did grow up with a father I can be proud of. Peter Rudolf de Vries will go down in the history books just like you. But about my father they will write that he was a hero.”
